Wellness Makeover - 8-week health and weight loss program

Wellness is defined as “being in a state of good health”. Health is always important, and good health is something we all strive for. Some people get it right on their own, but others need a bit of guidance. For those of you who need a bit of guidance, I have put together an 8 week wellness makeover package.

Online Wellness Makeover

My 8-week wellness makeover has been designed by me, based on the last 20 years of talking to people in my practice and at corporate wellness days. There are some questions that come up over and over again. I wanted to find a way to share this information with people whether they are able to come to my office or would prefer to do it all online.
I have been playing with the concept for far too long! And now that “social distancing” is so important, the coronavirus has given me the push I needed to take this program seriously and get it out there.

So, what do you get over 8 weeks? And why 8 weeks?

I’ll answer the second question first. As I mentioned I have been playing with this idea for a long time! Over this time, I have

experimented with various time frames, starting with 12 weeks and finally settling on 8. I really really really want you to succeed in making healthy changes that you can sustain forever (a long time, right?!) And all changes take time to stick. So 12 weeks or 3 months would mean that you have guidance and support for that whole time while you are moving towards a healthy, happy you.

However, 12 weeks is a long commitment and life tends to get in the way. I had a lot of people fall out as we were nearing the end. So, I whittled it down to 8 weeks which has proven to be long enough to make significant changes but not too long that it is difficult to stick it out.

So, what do you get in an 8-week wellness makeover from a dietician?

Diet plan


The first 2 sessions are all about your personalized diet plan. In the first online session, you will complete a comprehensive assessment form which will give me the information I need to calculate and compile a diet plan for you.

During the second session, I will send you your diet plan and explain it to you so that we are both on the same page.

Nutrition fact sheets and videos


For sessions 3 to 8, you will be sent links to various nutrition fact sheets and videos that cover information that will make it easier for you to follow your new plan and make changes towards a healthier lifestyle:

  • Session 3: Portions - getting it right and Exercise - your daily boost
  • Session 4: Food label cheat sheet and Successful behaviour change
  • Session 5: What is a healthy diet? and Goals - setting yourself up for success
  • Session 6: Do I need to take a supplement? and Stress - eat well to help your body cope
  • Session 7: Fad diets - seeing through the hype and Sleep your way to wellness
  • Session 8: Eating out, celebrations and convenience meals and Relapse prevention - planning not to fail

As cliched as it sounds, a wellness makeover is a journey. Lifetime health does not come from a week or two of eating well, exercising and getting 8 hours of sleep every night. It comes from choosing a healthy lifestyle everyday.
